Kellergenossenschaft Girolan
Lagrein produces wine which has high acidity and low pH, and highly tannic. Eric Asimov notes that Lagrein produces “ ... congenial, straightforward wines that can be deliciously plummy, earthy and chewy, dark and full-bodied but not heavy, with a pronounced minerally edge.”

d'Abruzzo, Miglianico
Montepulciano is a red wine grape variety grown widely in central Italy, most notably its eastern Abruzzo, Marche and Molise regions. The variety was named after the Tuscan parish of Montepulciano, but, confusingly, is not used in the famous wines produced there (see Vino Nobile di Montepulciano). La Belle Epoque
The 1985 has always been a great year for champagne and the 1985 Belle Epoque is a fine example.
There is brightness and freshness on
the nose are exceptional, with slowly evolved toasty aromas mingling with the barest hints of mocha, vanilla, and roasted coffee. It is the Pinot Noir that, unusually for Belle Epoque, dominates this wine, which is extraordinarily masculine, with its forceful palate of rich, yeast-complexed dried fruits and candied peel. Great intensity, and finesse.

Cassina Casa Vinicola
Pinot Noir is the red wine grape of Burgundy, now adopted (and feverishly studied) in wine regions all over the world. The essence of Pinot Noir wine is its aroma of strawberry and cherry (fresh red cherries in lighter wines and stewed black cherries in weightier examples), underpinned in the most complex examples by hints of undergrowth (sous-bois). Well-built Pinot Noirs, particularly from warmer harvests, also exhibit notes of leather and violets.

Giuliani Emilio
It was in the early 1900s that Giuseppe de Corato acquired the vast Rivera tenuta, or estate, in the territory of Andria, and planted it to vines, olives, and grain. Fifty years later, his son Sebastiano founded the Azienda Vinicola Rivera, inspired by his vision of realising the enormous viticultural potential of the Castel del Monte area. The old cellar was renovated, the vineyards replanted, and that era's most up-to-date practices adopted, and high-quality wine was the result. Widespread recognition quickly followed, and Rivera became the benchmark of Apulia wine production and the force driving its rebirth.
